The race may have postponed a month due to weather, but the Queenston Chevrolet Buick GMC, Scott Reinhart Trailer Sales Ltd OSCAAR Modifieds put on a show once they took to the half-mile Delaware Speedway for their feature presented by The Fyre Place and Patio Shop.
Anthony DiBello scored his first qualifier victory of the season ahead of Jason Keen, Shawn Chenoweth, Jeff Showler, Gary Elliott, and Jase Cornell.
A.J. Emms scored his third heat win of year ahead of Dale Reinhart, James Horner, Norman Newman, Luke Gignac, and Wally Wilson.
Come feature time, A.J. Emms would find his way to the lead from the seventh starting spot before the halfway mark. He then held off the field on a restart with eight laps to go to score the victory. It marks his first feature victory of the 2019 campaign, following a pair of top-10’s to start the season. He takes over the points lead, three points ahead of Shawn Chenoweth.
Pole sitter Anthony DiBello was second for a career-best finish, with Dale Reinhart finishing third for his second straight top-five. James Horner placed fourth in his second career start, with rookie Norman Newman rounding out the top-five.
Hometrack favorite Jeff Showler finished sixth in his first feature of the season, ahead of Shawn Chenoweth, Luke Gignac, Jason Keen, and Jase Cornell. Notably, Keen brought out the yellow flag with eight laps to go due to a flat tire.
Gary Elliott finished 11th, followed by Wally Wilson and Mark Hamacher.
The Queenston Chevrolet Buick GMC OSCAAR Modifieds are back in-action this coming weekend, July 22, at Sunset Speedway. Their 50-lap feature will be presented by Partco.
