They say there’s no place like home, and that seems to be holding true for Tyler Hawn as he once again went to victory lane at the end of the Knightworks Design, Scott Reinhart Trailer Sales Ltd OSCAAR Hot Rod feature presented by Streamline Race Products.
Tyler Hawn won the first heat ahead of Dalen Martin, Bradley Holt, Drew Robertson, Bob Parsons, Adrian Foster, Robert Robinson, and Greg Belyea. Notably, Belyea went for a quick spin during the race.
The second heat would not be clean, with a pair of cautions due to debris, followed by Nick Clarke going for a spin for a third. Steve Book picked up the win ahead of Paul Senior, Derek Henderson, Jeremy McLean, Dan Rothwell, Clarke, and Sean Walker; Clarke and Walker failed to finish.
Drew Robertson won the third heat ahead of Senior, Walker, Parsons, Holt, and Belyea.
Tyler Hawn won the fourth heat ahead of Book, Martin, Clarke, Henderson, Foster, Rothwell, and Robinson.
Come feature time, Tyler Hawn started pole ahead of Paul Senior, Bob Parsons, Steve Book, Drew Robertson, Bradley Holt, Derek Henderson, Dalen Martin, Nick Clarke, Jeremy McLean, Dan Rothwell, Greg Belyea, Adrian Foster, Sean Walker, Ryan Cowan, and Robert Robinson.
Trouble struck before the green flag as McLean pulled down pit road before the green flag with a problem. The initial start then saw Parsons running into mechanical issues, forcing him down pit road.
The second attempt went smoothly, with Hawn grabbing the initial advantage as Book moved into second ahead of Senior, Robertson, Martin, and Clarke. However, the caution would come out on Lap 5 for Martin spinning in turn two.
Hawn got a good restart to maintain his advantage over Book, Senior, Robertson, and Clarke, with Henderson moving into sixth. Clarke’s early strong run came to an end, as he’d slow with a problem on Lap 7. Robertson would get alongside Senior on the same lap for third, completing the pass a lap later. Senior now ran fourth ahead of Henderson, Walker and Foster, with Martin alongside Holt for eighth.
The third caution would come out on Lap 11 for Robinson spinning in turn four, collecting Rothwell with him. The fourth yellow flag then came out a lap later, for Holt spinning on the frontstretch.
Hawn got a good restart to keep the lead ahead of Book with Senior moving back into third ahead of Robertson, Henderson and Walker. It would not last for long, with Robertson passing him back on Lap 14.
Behind them, Walker got alongside Henderson for fifth two laps later, but was unable to complete the pass. Instead, it’d be Martin passing them both to get the spot on Lap 18. Henderson now ran sixth, with Foster alongside Walker for seventh. Foster then took the spot with 10 laps to go, bringing Parsons through with him. Foster’s progress continued, as he was able to get by Henderson for sixth on Lap 23.
